Fresh Start

They say third times a charm right? But what about the fifth or even sixth time? I have started and stopped so many blogs over the years I have lost count.

If you know me then you would know that my latest attempt was The West Life. It wasn’t me. The trouble with starting a blog is you see how great established bloggers are forgetting that they have been doing it for such a long time. I always forget and get to that point where I’m not satisfied with my content or page views and give up.

I am my own worst enemy when it comes to blogging. My head gets filled with thoughts of ‘no one wants to read this’ or ‘why do you even bother’, and I find it so difficult to work past those feelings and thoughts.

So what’s different about this one?

I am determined, at this point anyway. Since I was a child I have jumped at any opportunity to share my ideas and opinions with others through the written word. From writing stories to joining message boards about my favourite band and then to Tumblr and blogging. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others and need to not let my thoughts get me down.

I’m going to be honest and say that I don’t know what direction this blog will go in. I know that if you want a successful blog then you need to have a ‘theme’ whether it’s fashion, food, lifestyle etc but I don’t think I can commit to any one theme. Rather, this blog will be a collection of my thoughts, ideas, opinions and things I want to share with a wider audience.

I sincerely you stay along for the ride and help me get through the impending doom that is my own brain. Please, send me encouragement and good thoughts and maybe even be my friend? I’m in this for the long haul now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dear Kathryn, I feel you about starting and restarting a blog. Used to have a blog and then delete it and now I am starting over. There just so many bloggers out there that sometimes it gets hard to create content.

Anyways, good luck on this new venture! and keep in touch

Oh I know Nathalie. I feel like I’m always comparing myself to other bloggers who are a lot more established, I need to remember it’s a slow process. Good luck with your blogging venture too! Keep in touch! xx
